ZMA

ZMA stands for Zinc Monomethionine Aspartate and is the common name of a top anabolic product especially designed for body builders and others who need to have increased muscle bulk.  ZMA not only contains Zinc Monomethionine Aspartate but also other great muscle boosting dietary supplements such as Magnesium Aspartate and Vitamin B-6. 

Any athlete can profit from taking ZMA, not just body builders.  While body builders will certainly appreciate the power of ZMA to help boost muscle mass and improve the efficiency of a workout session, nearly every sportsman – and woman – will benefit from taking ZMA as a dietary supplement.

The big question anyone wants to ask about any dietary supplement or body building pill is: Does it work?  And yes, ZMA does work.  Scientific studies have shown that taking the apsartate form of Zinc increased testosterone and saw increased muscle mass compared to people in the control group.  The best study on this, which was published in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, Vol. 31, No. 5, May 1999, was conducted on a group of NCAA football players.  This study saw the players that took the form of zinc found in ZMA had 250% greater muscle gains than the players who did not.  That's more than twice as much muscle! 

Another positive aspect of ZMA is that those who have taken this dietary supplement have reported that they sleep better and deeper.  As the body repairs itself (and builds muscle) during sleep, this is a real added bonus for body builders.  But who wouldn't say no to a good night's sleep?
